I love this quote by Van Gogh. If you create art - whether with paint, collage or clay - you are an artist. Period. My students often hesitate to call themselves an artist because they are new to the process, still learning and don't consider themselves good enough. But I remind them that we are all continuing to grow as artists, no matter how long we have been creating. We work hard, make mistakes, try new things.
